If the immunity for private universities is conditional upon allowing cups, it will be very interesting to watch if/when a disarmed chl is mugged... maybe we should plan to start following up with crime victims in the future?

If this is a POLL where they vote to opt out or not, the "LESS responsible OBVIOUSLY outnumber the responsible CHLS as evidenced by less crimes committed by CHLs
So those according to the DPS crime Statistics, who are more likely to commit crimes get to vote on whether I, a CHL can protect myself from them?
Is their a similar poll for criminal to vote on whether police should be armed?
I hope you see the ridiculousness of that proposition, it is illogical.

RPB, a HUGE thank you for the yeoman work you did on tracking the committee hearing. I got to follow a brief segment but immensely enjoyed reading your blow by blow account and comments. I don't know where you live, but if you ever get around to the Richardson/Dallas area, you let me know. I'll take you to the range and buy your ammo and then buy you lunch or dinner.

Great work RPB! I will be calling/emailing any and all committee members that I can in the next couple of days. Hopefully the demeanor and logic of the pro-ccc supporters will influence the committee members when juxtaposed against the foolishness and absurdity of the antis. Our side is better informed and well behaved.

don't thank me ... thank the people who were there testifying
Thank you guys
-------------------------------
I'm trying to figure out the guy with the cardboard gun waiving it around ... was he hoping a bunch of CHLs would rush him in a student militia?
Or was he trying to prove that anyone can hide a gun illegally?
Or that he had it out a long time before anyone like the Troopers at the Capitol would stop him?
or was he trying to prove a cardboard gun can get through metal detectors?
Seriously I have no idea what he actually SAID .... did anyone?
----------
So, we should put our lives / right to defend ourselves in the hands of people thinking its cool to waive cardboard guns they smuggle in to a legislative hearing? In the hands of John Woods who gets a second income from sfgfs and people describing what meds their parents tell them to take and ... this guy, who forgot that at Whitman's escapade an armed student was the first responder and armed students made it possible for Whitman to be stopped

My wife came home just as the anti- people were about to start prattling on, so I missed their testimony.
I would have thought the committee would have voted on it last night.
Back to calling them, and watching the TLO website.

I'll again thank RPB and others that reported on this hearing. I have listened to the pro's and thought they did a good job of speaking.
My link shut down an hour or so into the con's and I'll have to agree that none had stats to back up anything they said except for fears and emotions. It was tough listening to these folks ramble on about what they feel with no facts to support them.
