First time post, but have been lurking for several months. I appreciate all the information I have learned here. I am from the Houston area and will be taking my CHL class this weekend, then need to start looking at beltrs and holsters.
I also have my wife who is interested in learning to shoot, not ready [abbreviated profanity deleted] rthe CHL yet but it is a good first step.

Hello everyone.
I've been lurking here since January and finally joined the forums just before finally taking my CHL class Feb 7th. I saw this thread and thought it was an awesome idea and decided to chime in and introduce myself.
I'm Jeff and I live in Longview (Northeast Texas-- or the Pineywoods, if you prefer). I'm 25 and got married last March. Like many here I've been shooting since my old man taught me at a young age, and my wife (then fiance') bought me my first handgun several years ago. (Springfield XD .45 4" Compact)
I come from a large family (6 boys and 3 girls) and my brothers and father have long talked about going together and getting our CHLs. Well finally one day I was fed-up with the talk and I found two of my brothers were available for the weekend, grabbed 'em and drug 'em to the course. We took Bob Green's course near Marshall and had a great, informative time. Jealous, my father called Bob and took his very next class.
Now we're all playing the waiting game!
Just wanted to say 'Hey' and thank all who keep this community going. There's some great info out there and I feel privileged to be a part of such a wonderful group of citizens.

Hello all.
I tripped across this forum not too long ago and have found some very useful information. Thank you all very much.
There's no particular reason why I didn't join sooner. I guess I just didn't feel like I had anything to contribute. Hopefully, that will change. There is so much information here that I have stayed up way too late many evenings going through all the different topics.

Careful C-dub. Moderation is the key. If you don't watch out you may have to join TCHLFA [TexasCHLforum Anonomous]!
