And another day without an update.
But starting to get hope now seen a couple of people on here around the same time period getting updates so.....maybr im next hopefully i get it before it expires.!

3-9-13-Class/ passed
3-13-13-Online application/payedfees
3-22-13 -sent in completrd packet
3-26-13-Fingerprintdone
Called dps 5-8-13 and told me my backround check was complete and fingerprints were accepted but they have to wait until my packet leaves the desk of the person that types.me in the system ahhh heck probley another 2 months

Who thinks they will be getting an update tomorrow???? anyone remember that jingle Anticpation. In my head now haha.

It is interesting mine still says backgrounf check under review. When I went to get fingerprinted getting a copy of my background check was an option for like I think $20.00 which I paid. I got my copy back in like three days, that was back in March.. So I have no idea how they can be waiting my my background check?

Okay, got impatiant and called dps this morning at 8:15am. Surprisingly I was not on hold long. The young lady stated my backgroung check started a few weeks and has not been complete yet by the FBI? ohoh.. She also said that they have additional help now so things are starting to process much faster then the previous months.

Now if the FBI finishes my BG I might actually have my card in hand very soon........... Maybe the FBI needs to get additional help.

Thank you for posting the part of the conversation with DPS adding staffing. DPS received my documents April 11th (I'm assuming they don't work anything until they have the CHL-100 in hand) so I figured I might have my plastic by the end of June.

So this is my time line...
Feb. 21 Chl application
Mar. 2 fingerprints
Mar. 9 Chl class
Mar. 12 sent paperwork
Apr. 28 first update background under review 
May. 10 background check still under review
Anyone else have this similar time line?

Updated to background under review on 4/21.

Birthday is a little over a month away now. Maybe they're planning a b-day surprise for me??
