Website says nothing. I just submitted an email asking to ensure all documents were received properly. Hope to get my card this month.

Just called today! Couldn't stand it any longer. They told me that my application had been approved and it was already sent for printing. Should be here soon. Wally walk here I come. Lol.

What was your timeline

CHL Class OCT 17th
Submitted paperwork online OCT 28
Fingerprints done and submitted Oct 30th
Called on Nov 11th and was told all my stuff was in
Called on Dec 2 and they told me that it had been approved and was sent to printing.
Website still has not changed for me

Looks like they are close (or already have) started working on November applications...

Here is my time line..
Completed online application: 10/17/15
CHL class: 10/16/15
Emailed Cert.: 10/20/15 (had to find a program to email all docs)
Cert received at DPS: 10/20/15
Finger Prints Done: 10/20/15

Now waiting on the mail system..

My timeline for renewal:

23 October- Snail mailed all documents to DPS
26 October- All Documents received
23 November- Awaiting Background check
30 November- Approved, awaiting Printing
3 December- Status online changed to the modification menu (address change, etc).

Super excited...almost there.

I should have applied for my CHL a LONG time ago, just kinda never got around to it, anyways, my current timetable is as follows:

Completed Online Application: 11/05/15
Completed CHL Class: 11/07/15
Completed Fingerprinting: 11/13/15
Submitted All Paperwork to the DPS Online: 11/13/15
DPS Documents Received E-Mail: 11/16/15

Currently nothing has changed for me on the DPS website, it still asks if I want to apply as an instructor. I'm a former DPS employee (less than one year removed from service) I was hopeful that my background would still be on file.

I'm hopeful to have my plastic in hand by December 16th, but I doubt that's possible, is it?

We basically have the same timeline - I am hopeful I get mine around the middle of December. It seems lately there's been a good mix of people who get their card before the website updates and those whose website updates then they get their card a few days later.

I guess time will tell... keep me posted on your status.

Sounds good, I see you're in League City, I'm near Galena Park. Hopefully they'll come around the same time!

I guess I'll start the first timeline from late November...

Online Application Submitted: 11/20/15
Class Completed: 11/22/15
CHL 100, Fingerprints, DD214: 11/24
Confirmation Email from DPS: 11/24

Looks like the absolute earliest I can expect the plastic is the end of December or early January. The CHL instructor said that some folks were getting the license in 7 working days or so, which got my hopes up. But I haven't seen anyone with that quick of a turnaround on this site.

Ya man it took them over 30 days just to enter my CHL 100 into the computer lol and I'm still waiting.

Been waiting since OCT. 22 and still waiting. I just got unlucky my application went to some old grumpy old man I bet. My application was probably placed in the "YOU GOING TO WAIT, BUDDY" stack. Every necessary document and information was sent online. I know I have been asked by cops during a traffic stop if I ever ran with a certain "organization". I said "huh, you got the wrong dude." rrrrrrr
