No, the solution is:
1) Paramilitary training in High school with mental screening. Case study: Switzerland and Russia.

Was it "Logans Run" or "Soylent Green" where the right to exist was restricted to those under 30? Then, they recycle.
Go Green !!!!
Brings new meaning to ....."We had relatives for Thanksgiving dinner."

It was "Logans' Run". And that is a vision of a collectivist society where everyone lives perfect little lives, a veritable "workers' paradise"...until the state says "time for you to go". But it sure isn't America.

There's a new outdoor range that just opened in Anna. It's a private range and will not be open to the general public, so to shoot there you MUST purchase a membership, but when you go you'll reserve an entire bay. You can rapid fire, draw from the holster, and shoot anything you want (including shotgun) but they are only 50 yard bays right now. They will be building a 100 yard bay in the future. The guy that owns it used to own the Collin County gun range.

I shot an IDPA match there yesterday. It's called Red Zone Ranch. The only info about it that I can find is on the Collin County IDPA site: http://www.ccidpa.org/ranges.html#RZR" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I agree that the anti gun crowd will use this in an attempt to further restrict gun rights. This being an election year, it is more important than ever to register and vote against them. I would also recommend that you get your checkbook out and send the NRA's PAC a contribution. I have.

Seems kinda sexist.
Well, obviously, we would make all of those requirements for women 18 years of age.

Mafia bosses are perfectly sane and super smart too. Said age and mental screening is useless.
I bet you $1000 that the wannabe joker is sane and would pass the acid test. He would had only to delay his movie plan few months and strike again.

Beiruty, I am with you on this one. I think the guy is perfectly sane in a manner of speaking, in that he knew full well what he was doing. Whatever his motivation, it took a lot of careful planning to pull off what he did the way he did it. NOT the hallmark of someone who is "crazy" but certainly the hallmark of someone who is EVIL. No matter how much some people try to say otherwise, I am a firm believer that there is a thing such as evil in this world whether it is from Satan or the depths of the human heart...and rats like James Holmes are a prime example of it in action.

I know that is kind of a crazy thing to say, but I am glad the "Internet Cafe Shooting" happened only a few days earlier and made national news.

I know it is not even remotely close to the same scale but it was only a few days earlier that everyone was proud of a 71 year old CHL for saving a room full of people.

A few days later we see what happens when citizens are not armed.

Again, I know, you cant really compare the two incedents but the internet cafe was a win for us.

Not to be trite or condescending, but aren't there laws prohibiting shooting people in a crowded movie theater? If we have laws against that, why do we need to make it "more illegal" and restrict a basic human right?

Based on what we know, it's possible he got everything from Holder and Obama. Not directly from their hands, but at their direction. If it was part of Fast and Furious, it explains why Obama didn't want those documents to see the light of day. Continuing the coverup only makes sense if there's more to the plot than providing guns to Mexican drug gangs. For example if they have other plans like this in motion.
Yeah sure, in other new Bush was behind the 9/11 and anthrax attacks. I would like to applaud most of this forum for not making this political. This is a huge tragedy, I think there is no way this could be carried out by someone in their right mind, however I do not think he is crazy. No one who is crazy could possibly plan everything the way he did. I do think it interesting that he is being labeled "crazy" by the media while if he were any other race he would be a terrorist, thug, illegal etc etc. I personally would not have tried to shoot back based on the evidence I have heard, it would have done nothing except paint a bigger target on my chest, so I think the gfz argument is moot. I am hoping that this is not going to be used as a gun grab, it could happen but I do not think in this apolitical climate it will.

Fox is by no means gun friendly. I offer Sheppard Smith as an example. Just about the only guy who speaks out in favor of gun rights at all on that channel is Huckabee. Yes, they lean right, but it is a very country club right.
Yeah. I was watching Fox News yesterday and they had some psychologist on who said "No normal person buys four or five guns and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Normal people just don't do that." This statement was not questioned and was responded to with a "Yeah". This was the first time I have ever yelled at Fox News and changed the channel.

Exactly!!! It is already illegal to kill people. Adding laws that will restrict the rights of law abiding citizens will do nothing other than punish the rest of us for a one off nut.

Based on the liberal media, I am a danger and menace. I possess more than one gun and more than one box of bullets. Not to mention all the more than five round "clips" I own. If I hear one more libtard media mouth say the word clip, I will shoot myself!
