Criminals huh? This criminal right here pays their salary along with rest of everyone on here, and we aren't getting anything for free thus $140 needs to come with some pep in their step and get it done!

Just got off the phone with DPS and was told the application was approved! Should have it in 7-10.
10/4 application online
10/8 fingerprints
10/17 CHL 100
10/19 mailed paperwork.
I did have a non-disqualifying misdemeanor from years ago. Life lesson: don't be dumb six days after you turn 18.

Still not too bad considering you snail mailed your paperwork.

Agreed. I was getting worried that something was wrong. I called last Monday and was told it was at the technicians. They said the same thing this Monday. Something told me to call back today just to check. Glad I did, now it's time to wait at the mail box.

Just curious if any of you with non disqualifying arrests were sent a letter or asked for court documents for prior arrests, I've never received a request and all my stuff was in October 27. Do they pull up the old records themselves?

I just went to my county's website and printed my public arrest records. They show dates, disposition, plea, ect. I have not received anything as of 30 days asking for anything else.

Yeah I give up... today is 30 days since I've submitted my application. The only time I've ever been in a court was to serve on a jury.
Called today and the lady said they haven't even started on it.
Whatever.

The process doesn't really start until you submit your documents. Try calling them again on the 16th. Patience is your friend.

Yea, the 16th of this month is when 30 days will be up, not from application time. You will have it before the holidays with no arrest record.

I did not receive a letter, or send anything extra to them. I just disclosed the charge, disposition, arrest date, and arresting agency on the application. Did it take longer than it needed to because I didn't send a "certified disposition"? Possibly, but they got it done before the 60 day mark.

My timeline is identical to yours, with a non disqualifying prior. Hopefully when I call tomorrow they will have good news for me
