I've made a few posts, but it might be worth introductions:
Jason, 36, Pearland. Just moved here in May from Northern Virginia. I've got a UT CHL and have been carrying concealed weapons since 2002. Hobbies are cycling, fishing, some hunting, long walks on the beach. Married two kids. Former Marine. Ex federal employee. Currently a stay at home dad and my wife's business partner.
Mostly carry a Kel Tec P3AT, although I just got a quality holster for my Rock Island 1911 and have begun carrying it. Just took my Texas CHL class from Mr. Cotton.

Moved to TX almost 3 years ago from Florida.
Wife and I were ready to get our license in Florida
when I moved here for my Job. Life happened, and
we ended up waiting 2.5 years longer than we needed
to to get our licenses. I grew up in Arkansas shooting
for sport and pleasure, and worked with LE for years
writing Silent Dispatch software. When I'd go onsite
I'd have LEO's ask me what my Carry weapon was.
A few would tell me I needed to get one instead of
relying on them for protection.
My favorite weapon is my S&W Model 19 that I bought
from a retired LEO friend of mine. My carry weapons
are a Kahr p40 and a KelTec p32 pocket gun.
My wife's favorite weapon is her Beretta 92FS bought
from the same LEO friend. I'm looking for a smaller
carry weapon for her currently. We've got some shopping
to do. I think she's leaning towards a PX4 Storm in 9mm.
Both of my children are young teens, but they enjoy shooting
with us at the range, and when we lived in Arkansas we lived
in a rural area that we could shoot in the back of our property.
I got a warm fuzzy feeling when a Range Master we'd never shot
with before called me aside last weekend after a family outing of
shooting. He complimented me on my children's shooting abilities
and their knowledge of gun safety. He said he paid close attention
to us because of the young children, and he was very impressed.

Hi ya'll,
I am not good at introductions so I'll dot he best I can. I don't have my CHL yet, sent out my app. on 10/4, so you'll probably be seening me in the "Waiting Room". I am from the Texas Coast, currently a student in college going for a degree in ocean and coastal resourses. I am a girl and prefure to go by Swan, but I'll answer to anything that relates to my user name. My Dad is also on this forum, although I don't know his user name yet. Erm.... anything else? Oh yea, I'm not a good speller, and I don't see a spell check, so I'ma say I'm sorry in advance.
Anyway, if you got questions.... ask.
