the time from mailed to actually receiving it to me is the hardest part of the whole process....yours should be right behind me Becky good luck to yu...just think in four more years we will be going through this again..lol....I actually think I could log-on to the dps website and type my birth date ,,,drivers license, and social security # blindfolded.....lol

Haha!! Hopefully the renewal won't be as long in 4 years Bruce! At least we'll have the waiting room. This room honestly kept me hanging in there. If I wasn't getting an update on the DPS website, k could at least find updates on here! I SO thought mine would've been in the mailbox today, but alas, it wasn't.....fingers crossed for tomorrow's mail!!

I've got nothing still. Status says "waiting documents".

When I call, no one can tell me anything.

Getting closer! But still nine days from first update showing "background check under review" to complete and mailed. I still don't understand because I have no criminal record and had security clearance in USAF for 16 years! Too much time to shuffle from one desk to the next.

That's 75 days man. Have you made any inquiries to the hive? Did you receive a confirmation email after you submitted your app? Or are you just patiently awaiting for a response?

you need to call them and follow up... I submitted on 12/17/13 and received an update last week. Now sitting at "Manufacturing".

I called on Jan 8th. They said longer wait time due to holidays, change in law etc. said 6-9 weeks, and I was out last week and didn't check. Also 2 others that took class with me have not changed status either. I do have confirmation email. Will try to get through this week. Thanks for the comments.
