Day 84 in Harris county. Co worker is on day 91 an still waiting. We have both lived in Harris county our whole life. Just wanted to leave some infor for anyone out there in Harris county who is still waiting on theirs.

80 and 90 days or more is ridiculous !

Guess what little piece of plastic I found in my mail today?

I broke down and called to say, they said, "we are finalizing the application now. Check back in 2 weeks"

Mailed Packet 16th Certified Mail
Received Feb 19th according USPS
Sent email asking about status - April 21st
E-mail response that application was approved and plastic in hand 14 - 21 days - April 27th
Online Application Status Changed to Completed or License Issued - May 3rd
License Delivered - May 6, 2009

Congrats to all you guys and girls that received plastic already. If its not to much trouble can you guys tell us what County you live in so the rest of us that are waiting can get a better Idea of how long its taking to get our licence. If its not too much trouble. Thanks and Congrats again.......here is a little dance for you guys!!

Tarrant, but it doesn't look like counties matter, i don't think they are doing it based on that. Two friends same county, same zip code, one received is under couple months ago, other has not received his yet. No denial, no issues.

I know, Its just that I live in Harris County and its taking them a long time to get the background checks back to the DPS. I asked the lady at the DPS and she said The Gulf Coast County's especially Harris is taking a long time to send them the background checks. I figured if I started seeing people from Harris get their applications completed it would give the people in my area a good idea of when to expext theirs, thats if they have lived here all their life. I understand that if you have lived in a lot of places it takes even longer. But thanks to all who are putting their County on their udates. I really appriciate it!
