Congratulations to all who have newly minted plastic in hand and have completed the obligatory "Wally Walk"!!
Have been traveling a lot for work lately, but did manage to get the rejected paperwork in order and sent off last week. We'll see how long the process takes now! Heading to Kalifornia the end of the week (work again) and hope it doesn't arrive before I get back. I want to be there to dance in front of the mailbox!!

Does anyone know what format an email to Texas DPS needs to be in?
I mean, what info needs to be in the email for an inquiry into the status of one's CHL?

I'd think that your D.L. , application number(if you have one), and PIN # is all that's needed. Take that with a grain of salt, as I never emailed DPS.
I'm sure others who have will chime in shortly with their opinion.

Isn't it SAD when you can type in the correct website for the DPS by memory, log in and groan in frustration on any computer, anywhere????
Back to checking my status three times a day.......

Well NO luck at all, still processing application. To top that off I went to the range to check the sighting on my deer rifle seeing as how it hasn't been out of the hard case since last year. Well it shot perfect, took out the bullseye X at 100 yds, and on the TENTH round fired, a large chunk of wood from the fore grip flew off! I've hunted with it for the last two years, it was my grandfathers rifle, then my fathers, and my father gave it to me three years ago when i took my first buck with it.

Checked the DPS website this morning. And to my amazement my current application status had changed!
It now says, "Application Completed-License Issued or Certificate Active." Total of
56 days from when they received my app until today.
Thank You Veterans!
