If only all Texas LTC holders would boycott the State Fair and encourage everyone they know to do so, perhaps lost revenue will persuade the fair.
I thought the SF would have sufficient visibility to get this through.. Honestly, I don't care about the Fair, I DO care about all the other places where private contractors st up shop on publicly owned property and post 30.XX... Was hoping the SF debacle would carry through a solution for all of it. I suspect all the hoopla last year didn't translate into enough legislators actually caring about law abiding Texans' rights, as long as the State Fair people and their purchased officials are happy that's all that matters.
The reason the Fair was more important to me is that unlike many private lessees of government property, they actually employ metal detectors and private security to enforce their policies. Yeah. I briefly thought of having someone pass me my pistol through the fence or something, which would actually not be illegal.
