I work for a railroad. We are not permitted to carry anywhere on the property. I have seen employees terminated for doing so. With that in mind, I do not carry on company property.

I haven't received effective notice so I carry. Concealed is concealed.

No, and no.

I work for the State of Texas.

And I've noticed that the personnel manual has recently been changed, I suspect in anticipation of another "employer parking lot" bill - it now states "no weapons, concealed or otherwise, on state property, or in vehicles parked on state property."

School teacher so no and no. It is secured in the truck less than a 100' away. Let's just hope that 100' doesn't turn into 100 miles if needed.

Regretfully it's happened before.

The business entry is not posted with a 30.06, so please feel free to walk in armed and visit with me sometime.
My situation has since changed. I now work for a different company...

...WHICH I OWN!!! Woooot! :anamatedbanana (Shameless Plug)

I now report to an office that is located about 40 feet from my bedroom door, and yes, my company permits CHL carry.

Federal contractor so I can't carry, but I leave lock in the car off site and ride the shuttle van in. The security guards with assault rifles make me feel safer though. Getting the wife a CHL specifically to carry at work. Her bank was robbed less than two years ago (thankfully she wasn't there), and her manager (who was held at gunpoint and almost taken hostage) was actually happy with the idea of having a makeshift security gaurd, since corporate won't spring for one.

Just got a new job and I now work at home, so - yes, I carry at work. =)

However, my new job requires about 50% travel, so when I'm on the customer site, probably not, depending on the state.

I think my Sgt. would be irritated of I showed up without my gun.
Actually, he'd tell me to go home.

I also work for the state of Texas. However, I work for the Office of the Attorney General. I carry at work every day. I only unholster when entering a courthouse. Our agency's personnel manual is very specific in allowing CHLs.

I can carry, if I dont mind being unemployed should I get caught! Unless you are a railroad police officer, dont carry on railroad property, they are a little one way about that kind of stuff.
