I just finished watching this. Overall I think that it was fair to both sides and it seems that they (the Dad and the lady visiting) were both level headed and were open to listening to each other.
Good show!

I saw the episode last night too. It was much more fair than I've come to expect from those types of shows. They did do a decent job of letting the audience make up their mind rather than preaching which side is "correct." (although we know which one is) I was pleasantly surprised. There were a few omissions (they didn't really say that the background check requires a phone call to the FBI rather than just believing someone's paperwork) but overall I liked it

Just finished watching it on the DVR. I was very impressed that although they did find a stereotyped "gun nut" (single dad in a double-wide with ratty furniture and American flags on the walls), he was a calm, articulate, reasonable person.
My only quibble with the production (rather than what the people themselves said) was Spurlock beginning the show by saying gun ownership was a right that "given to us" by the founding fathers.
I agree with the dad (Ken?): I respect Pia for giving it a try. I think that in the end she saw that the difference in Brockton and Leesburg isn't just gun ownership, it's mainly that she lives surrounded by criminals.

Does anyone know where I can view this online or can someone burn a copy to CD or DVD?
I have no satellite or cable and cannot watch F/X.

Actually, I started my wife on the loudest, yet lightest recoiling guns I had available so that she wouldn't automatically associate loud with kick.
Her 7400 .243 is a perfect example; it sounds like a cannon, but with very little recoil.

Good show!

I just got done watching it too. I have to say that the woman was a little too dramatic when she first fired the gun and put on the crying show. After that she seemed to come around and saw the reasoning and logic for owning a gun. She was impressed with herself when she shot the handgun and you could see a twinkle in her eyes for a short time. Overall, better than I would have expected.

He may have been dirt poor (probably from divorce mentioned)... but he and his kid were clean cut, well spoken and had good manners. The well spoken, prudent listening and thoughtful answers probably set the producer of the show, and many anti gunners back on their heals for a second thought.

I saw it last night too, and I was actually impressed at the end. There is no doubt that the introductory segments were biased against the RKBA, but on the other hand, we wound up looking pretty good at the end.

We wound up looking all right at the end, it definately could have been worse, but it would have been nice if she stayed with someone who knew more of the defensive gun use facts and something to refute those stories that the other side had. But that has to be real tough to be in person with though, when you 3 women telling you how so and so died, but to refute that with facts, you should say what about the 2.5 million people in America, are they worth less than your relative, but that would come off really cold and heartless unless done perfectly. But at least it was mildly entertaining.
