That would be an unwise choice, IMO. A laptop bag would already be a target for theft or robbery.

My laptop never leaves my sight and anyone who tries to steal it would be in a world of hurt, ask me what laptop its protecting sometime...
(and don't call me a mall ninja or whatever, lol, I bought it because I take it out into the deep mountains of hondo, nm with my dad and family. (between roswell and ruidoso)
Its also great because if it rains I don't have to freak out about what I'm going to do with my laptop.
as to the desert eagle, where theirs a will there's a way. but its prob. not very good at being a self defense gun at close up.

only way you may conceal a desert eagle would be in a shoulder holster due to size of grips etc.

the only eagle I've ever seen is the baby eagle, and I've heard that it has only a cosmetic resemblence to the bigger one.
one day they will have one at a store that I can hold.

In
Predator 2, didn't the movie magnates try to pretend that a DE in a shoulder holster was Danny Glover's duty gun as a police detective? I gotta think that in most scenes, he had an Airsoft replica in that holster, not real thing; that'd be like carrying around a small anvil.

IIRC, the .50 AE is almost 11 inches long, and weighs about 4.5 pounds...
without ammo.
'Course, if you run out of ammo and need to use a pistol as an impact weapon, that's a pretty good choice as aclub.

Heres a quick and dirty pic i just took for ya. Beretta 92 and SA 1911 by a DE .50. A cop would get back/shoulder trouble carrying this on one side for years. It has 7+1 of 350g bullets for starters.
