Andrew Sullivan could not be more wrong if he had it written for him and all he had to do was put his name on it...casingpoint wrote:This stellar article by Andrew Sullivan published in the New York Times one month after 911 defines what America is up against.

All of that effort was to keep Americans with lesser inhibitions from going on a rampage...And it worked...Not that I would condone that kind of retribution...
Its been almost 7 years, and the results (so far) have been successful, but have been received a mixed interpretation in my opinion...But I support the mission, and the troops prosecuting the mission...I want them to be able to complete this task, no matter how long it takes...The cost is what we all signed up for at one time...
Take the fight to the enemy...Better to fight them over there than here...The liberal element in this country does not understand that this will be the result of their efforts and appeasement agenda...
The problem I see is that unless someone like us were extremely lucky, our efforts will be a heroic and well intended, but fatal...But that doesn't mean none of us would step up to the plate anyway...
If something like this got started in this country, I do not for one second believe it will be some tower in Austin, or even a pair of roaming idiots shooting out of a car trunk back east...It will be well trained, well-supported and well motivated terrorists who will be of the sort that may not want to be caught right away, they might even want to survive as long as possible and continue their mission as long as possible...
I believe its a good thing they have not figured this out...
Just my opinion...
