Are you kidding me? He put it in his pants at 12 o'clock? I think I'd jump on the phone..
I haven't checked into it fully yet, but my instructor did mention they can not take it back to the car or whatever with them. I dont know if this is true or not, I intend to find out for myself, I just haven't taken the time yet. They can disarm you as we all know, that wouldnt bother me at all.. But taking it from me, sticking it down his pants, I dont think so... I dont think he should have questioned why you had 3 on with you, it's his business to know that you have them, but is it really up to him to question why? Thats like a CHL being asked why he's carrying a firearm, duh! You shoulda told him you carry 3, just incase you lose one

I intend to be upfront about the firearms I have with me, but I wont give him a serious reason as to why I have them ( unless my smart remarks make the guy mad LOL )
I dont think I'd let it slide, I'd at least try and get in contact with someone.. It may, or may not do anything, but for the fact the LEO stuck the gun down his pants, thats crossing the line. I wouldnt be against them taking it with him, I know I'll get it back, but if a LEO puts my gun down his pants, there will be some words. I dont feel it's respectful to take a person's firearm, and treat it as your own. Thats the same as taking the LEO's donut and putting it in your mouth.

Lunchbox, you need to start carrying one of these CZs. It's got
you written all over it and no one will ever take it from you and stick it in their pants.

Call mythbusters and get them to rig the steering up to your bike. That would make for an awesome episode.

Well if you were on your way to get your inspection I might have to bust out the irony flag, but that just sucks.

No and I'm surprised it happened this time. My wife and son have been stopped by FPD and never disarmed. Me too.
Chas.
yes but im sure none of you have a grizzly adams beard and ride a crotch rocket.
i was profiled today plain and simple

I have a grizzly adams beard and ride a Harley. Ive never been disarmed, and it wouldnt bother me TOO much if they did depending on the circumstances and attitudes of either of us, but I have to say I would be more than a little upset should an officer dirty up my Kimber with a six oclock carry.

Both times Ive been pulled over, the LEOs were professional and didnt seem too concerned that I was carrying. I even had a SO get next to me on 288, and point toward my seat. Looked down, and the wind had exposed my gun. He waved a finger at me and continued on while pulled over and covered it back up. That could have been a real bad day!

Taking the CHL course tomorrow...
by Bunkins on Fri Nov 28, 2008 10:03 pm
Wish me luck I'm a tad nervous about it, just the "unknown" part I guess.. Not looking forward to the long day, I'm the type that doesn't like to sit around in one spot too long, gotta stay moving.. I've always done very well in any class or course I've ever taken, just so long as the teacher or instructor doesn't bore me to death.. Nervous about the shooting part of it, the range is poorly lit, and I had trouble when I went last weekend to get a feel for the place.
So hopefully, I'll be in the "Waiting Room" for a while, though I hope I'm not for very long...
He showed his CHL on 11 December? This must be the fastest issusance of a CHL in the history of Texas' CHL?

Better double check who the OP was. This was lunchbox, not Bunkins.

I stand corrected. My apologies.
