would this even be a possibility. I'm way out here in west texas and would love to attend the conference and get the perspective that only Charles could offer. but so far, the closest one you've mentioned is still about 3 1/2 hours one way.
Thanks for a great opportunity to make a pitch for Texas CHL Forum, Inc. I want to take this seminar and a lot more throughout the State, but how much we can do is going to depend upon how many people join and support the organization. The three seminars we're talking about now are within reasonable driving distance of Houston. Going to El Paso, Del Rio or something like that will require flying and that's just not in the budget, at least not yet. I've been so busy getting ready for the 2009 Texas Legislative Session, my up-coming NRA committee and Board meetings, and getting ready for the meeting on the new "get people into shooting" project that I haven't had time to do any recruiting for Texas CHL Forum, Inc. That may not change for several weeks.

Yes a video can be done, but I have resisted several offers/requests to do them in the past. People who have attended my seminars know I'm very candid in responding to questions and I don't particularly want to see some of the questions and my answers on a YouTube video. If I'm giving the seminar on video, it would be a lot less "informative" than in a live presentation.

Chas.
charles,
I understand comletely and appreciate the thoughts. I could certianly understand the desire to not have the info circulating around the net and the candidness you'd want to give those in person - and I want the informative candid version!! Maybe we could figure out a way to only allow members with a certian number of post to view it for a week or two direct from the site? I understand the video thing may not be a possibility. I don't know...I really...really would want to attend the seminar...maybe I can figure a way out to get to the DFW area to catch that one. Thanks for doing these seminars...and for the forum....and for all you do in perserving, persuing and pushing for our rights! I appreciate all that you do! :patriot:

Hey, wait a minute. West, Texas is only about an hour, to hour and a half south of Fort Worth, not 3 1/2 hours away. See, the map proves it

West, TX

and not West, Texas....West Texas....you know...out where the cactus and mesquit are the norm....where the tumbleweeds roam free....and the rain ain't so frequent... "where seldom is heard a discouraging word...and the skies are not cloudy all day" ETA: think Abilene/San Angelo/Midland/Odessa area

ha ha, I'm was just pulling your leg. Of course I knew what you referring to, but I guess my sarcasm didn't carry as well with the written word, as it did in my mind.

Back on topic, I like you are eagerly wanting to take Charles class, and do hope that he can put together something in Dallas as Houston is just not doable with my work schedule.

I've got this seminar in my schedule and just want to confirm that it is still happening in Friendswood this Friday at 6:00.

So, Mr. Charles, is this still happening? :confused5 :confused5 :confused5

Thanks.

If they did a seminar in West, I'd go for the Kolaches alone!

I had every intention of "crashing" the seminar (since capacity didn't seem to be an issue), but didn't get wrapped up in Sealy until 6:00. :???:

I'm confident everyone who attended came away much wiser than before.
