The suspect in this case was indicted Wednesday on a second homicide count:

He remains in jail on $500,000 bond.

It's extremely difficult to mount a legal defense in a rape case where DNA evidence is available. I expect to see that the defendant take a plea bargain in about six months.

I think rape plus murder in a single series of criminal acts is capital murder. I'm not sure, though.
