I heard someone on the radio today equate this to basketball. If the Lakers and Clippers were playing each other should the referees be easier on the Clippers because they deserve a break? I think we all know the answer to this one.

Socialist do gooders. ARGH!

My question about all these people lapping her up is how can they call her the first Hispanic justice? I have seen a couple papers that even say that and then reference in parenthesis that Justice Cardozo was descended from Portugese Jews who emigrated many years ago. How many generations does it take to become non-Hispanic?

Hispanic is a reference to Spain, Portuguese people will be quick to point out they are not Hispanic. I believe they could be considered Latino as well as someone from France or Italy. as they speak a Latin based language.
I never liked the term Latino or Hispanic to lump together people whose only commonality may the language. Mexican, Puerto Rican, Bolivian or Argentinean cultures are as different from each other as cultures found on the other Hemisphere and share little commonality.

Didn't our ancestors come here to be Americans? If one wants to be, or remain, something other than an American, one should either stay where one is or go back to where one came from.
