I have emailed both of my reps with of course no response!

I also emailed Perry's office. I got a response the next day saying they will forword my information on to DPS. Good luck with that I believe.
Just hope I am never late on my taxes!! Some how I believe I would then see a reaction from the state.
Remember "Civil Servant" has no meaning in our current government.
But we voted them in and keep voting them in.

Well Praise Be To Glory! I called DPS today and waited for 15 minutes for a technician. I got the same person I spoke with two weeks ago. She said my BG check came in three days after I called. I don't know what it means, but she told me my license was being printed and to be expecting it in about a week and a half. Apparently the printer is a aged Franciscan Monk who normally transcribes hand lettered copies of the Bible and has taken on a side job. My application status on the website still says "Processing Application" so I hope she isn't jiving me.

I just got off the phone with DPS, I was told still waiting on background information. As they have for like over 4 months or more. I asked why, they said due to so many applicants in the region. Excuse's!!

Ken Legler had an assistant email me but no action has occured and no further reply has happened. I also contacted my Harris County Commissioner with nary a reply. I will be at 180 days come August 25. I'm about ready to try to hire a lawyer and demand a court date from DPS.

Just got a text from a buddy, he got his CHL yesterday!!! We did ours at the same time, and he even had problems and had to submit more paperwork, but Good for him. I am now on 141 days, we were both Galveston County, but I had no paperwork issues. Just got off the phone with office of Craig Eiland, the lady was nice, and said she would call. She called me back not even 5 minutes later. She called DPS, DPS is suppose to check in on it and call me and her back. My fingers are crossed.

I'm sure Harris Country BCs aren't any help but for the DPS to blame it on them is ridiculous. I applied, paid, and recieved my pin online and sent in everything after my class on March 13. they recieved my packet on the 14th yet they didn't being processing my application until the end of April??? It sat on a desk for a month and a half, Harris County has nothing to do with that... and to add... I have called Harris County twice and both times they confirmed that my BC was completed and sent to DPS on August 2 yet DPS is insisting that "just recieved it" as of August 15??? Are you kidding me??

KtaAggie10, do you still have the contact information for Harris County when it comes to back ground check?
