There are 1911's and there are "other" handguns.
I think Prius owners have more in common with 1911 owners.

The owners can't help try to evangilize how wonderful their guns/car are.
Many think they are somehow superior to other mortals because of their choice.

I test fired a full-size 5" Springfield 1911 last year. I wasn't impressed. The gun was fine, accurate, reliable, but it wasn't comfortable for me. I'm 6'-2", 250 lbs with a large build. I still wanted one though...

My wife bought me Dan Wesson Commander Bobtail 1911 for Christmas, and I LOVE this gun!! The bobtail grip is WAY more comfortable than the standard grip in my opinion.
