glocklvr wrote:Mr Bane I am all about loosening security restictions especially on passenger aircraft but considering any type of a boycott would hurt the already struggling airlines more than the TSA and 1 of the airlines that would get hurt also provides me with a paycheck I will not support such actions.
Unfortunately, the only way the airlines would get on board is if it hits them in the wallet. I used to work at the IRS, and heard all kinds of stories about how people wished I and my co-workers ought to be unemployed. At the risk of resorting to a cliche, someone's ox has to get gored in lots of situations. From a moral standpoint, isnt' it the same when CCW license holders bocott businesses that post against concealed carry? Should we not resort to those actions as well?

Welcome Aboard

As a long time USPSA / IPSC shooter, we have comon friends. I remember when you tried to help USPSA with marketing. I don't know that it worked out but you were trying. Then there is Shooting Gallery ( http://www.shootinggallerytv.com/ ). I enjoy the show.

I think you may have suprised a few folks when you just appeared on our forum but, I felt like an old friend had found me in my current haunts.

Armed Passengers Project Update for 3/12/07

Dear Readers,

Yesterday, in the Poughkeepsie Journal, columnist Mark Musso praised heightened airport and rail security screening, calling it “a necessity, regardless of how we feel about it. He also said “The slight inconvenience is a small price to pay to know that we are safer for the effort. You can read his commentary at the following link:

http://www.poughkeepsiejournal.com/apps ... COLUMNISTS

This morning I emailed Mr. Musso to introduce him to the Armed Passengers Project. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an immediate response from him saying that while he had some initial hesitation about the concept, he would review the website, keep an open mind and consider featuring the issue in a future column as “food for thought.

Let’s hope we can find more journalists willing to have an open mind.

As always, your support of the Armed Passengers Project is appreciated.

Sincerely,
Michael L. Bane
