I applaud your persistence and dedication on cleaning things up, and following through on getting your CHL. Some could have just packed it in. As a recently anointed CHL’er, I can guarantee you after you receive the plastic, all the effort will be well worth it. Keep on keeping on. Turnaround times seems to be coming down to the 40- to 60-day range. It stinks for the people who have been waiting four to six months.

Well I got another letter from the Texas state health services today saying they received a medical history form but did not receive a authorization to release medical information form. They sent me another one, Which I have signed and will mail back to them tomorrow.

The letter was dated Dec. 8 , and I take it that the DPS has not yet even received any word from them soooooooo I'll be waiting some more.

Found my thread posted in another thread!

The update from the last post is that everything arrived at the DPS, and with a little help from a "friend" in the know, the dps expedited my paperwork and my chl arrived shortly there after. Been carrying ever since and proud of it.
