Its a mistake but either way he just sent us CHLs back 10 years for something very stupid. Im not so mad that he carried a gun. Im mad that it went off that should never happen. Cant think of how it could happen unless he had the gun in a very dangerous position. I wouldnt be surprised if his story isnt true of what really happened.

I think this incident will be like a bubble in the ocean. The guy shot only himself. He'll get out of the hospital and accept a plea bargain. You will never hear about it again.

:iagree: Without a CHL being publicized tine the press, harm to CHL'ers is pretty well nil. And, for 2A supporters, since he did a Plexico, but wasn't a celeb, then as Jim said, it will fade away quickly.

Would be nice to know the details on how he really did it though. :headscratch

My vote is on the booger hook. Sometimes you want to scratch an itch "down there." :ack:

Given the demographics and the excellent reputation of the Oak Cliff neighborhood, I rather doubt that the man had an expensive, modern, or well-maintained handgun in an appropriate holster. The incident would not have occurred if he had.

I don't think so. This is yet another example of there being idiots with guns who regularly break the law; that's more justification for law-abiding people to be able to carry everywhere they go.
