Don't know if ferrel hog is the same as Russian Boar - but I spent 4 hours in a tree due to the latter. With a SW Model 19-3 .357 on the hip and a scalped irritated boar, I was really happy in that tree. I won't hunt them again without a BAZOOKA!

Doug :txflag:

P.S. Russian Boar are the debil (my best impression of Water Boy's mom :-)

We went over to Palestine after lunch today. About 2/3 of the way over we encountered a dead hog on our side of the road and a smaller auto of some sort on the other side of the road...with a caved-in front end. :eek6 The collision must have happened last night?

Somebody ought to do something :fire soon about all them wild hogs! :mad5

Dispatched this big ol' boar two nights ago. This is him on my game camera, I can post pics of the results of .223 62gr. fmj over in the hunting photos section if anyone is interested. :biggrinjester:

Edit: On second thought I think I will, his size is a little more noticeable in my digital camera pics. :fire

So we can expect this project to come to a screeching halt when someone turns up gutted by a boar, bow still clutched in their fingers, and the COE decides they'd rather have the hogs than people with nasty ol' guns out there. :mad5
