is hidden.
With window tint and mounted that deep in the leg well, it can't be seen even through the windshield.
Only way it can be seen is if the door's wide open.

Won't the screw heads inside the holster scratch the gun?

I had never heard of this type of mounting. But it still has to be covered.
My idea was to take the cheap Fobus paddle holster and bolt it inside the console in my wife's Expedition using carriage bolts. The pistol would be ready by only opening the console lid and pulling it out. Using carriage bolts would leave a smooth surface on the outside of the console. I only paid $10 or so for the Fobus. It is just sitting on misfit holsters island with the rest of my holsters (money) that I don't use.
