i worked in the entertainment industry for 8 years, I find your comment very inaccurate... how many "famous" people do you know personally?
just the usual suspects:
Sarandon, Streisand, Tim Robbins, etc. etc. etc.

Have you had an opportunity to read "Ted, White, and Blue"? If not, I'd be more than happy to send it to you (free of charge). It is an incredible book and I'd say that if there are any 'personalities' out there that I'd agree with, Ted would be the one.
He can come across as extreme sometimes, but really no different than what Janeane Garofalo is to the left.

Thats my point. I don't see him as any different. No thats not correct. I don't see Ted Nugent as someone who'd willingly send you to the Re-Education Camp, despite his histronics. He's a just a kook who likes to say more nutty things. But I don't want to hear from or about him either.

Keep this civil. If you don't like the discussion, then you are welcome to ignore it.

I like the video, and Ted Nugent for the most part.
But if you want to complain about torture, force someone to read youtube comments.

So, you
personally know Sarandon, Streisand, and Robbins?

you see thats where I cant agree with you. I at least will weigh the opinion of the people I don't agree with it. In some cases (like abortion) I've after much soul searching changed my view on some subjects

No, we can't.

Its not a joke. Ted Nugent is a crazy foam at the mouth nutjob who made some sort of decent albums a few years back. I'd no sooner think upon his comments then I would Madonna or some half coked up actress. He's worse as he gives normal average joe hunters and conservatives a bad name.
Oh you are talking about Nugent, I thought you were talking about Dragon Fighter.
I like Nugent, but I think that yes, he can push it too far for some, but then again why are we trying to hide our true passions?
I thought so too until I saw the "Decent albums" remark, I couldn't carry a tune in a dump truck.

I have issue with this statement. Though there seems to be an inordinate amount of communistic idiocy spewed from the entertainers of the world, what qualifications do they need? PolySci degrees, PhD's? What qualifications do you have, or I for that matter? I hope that on matters of CHL and related matters, we are cogent and reasoned based on our sphere of experience. I have read and taught the constitution to my children, I often base my political opinions on that knowledge, many don't and express their opinions anyway. But to suggest that someone's ignorance somehow "disqualifies" them to speak on a subject flies in the face of what I swore an oath to protect.
Now I may well say, "Miss Sarandon, you are an ignoramus who couldn't reason your way out of a paper bag." IMHO, she is. But I wouldn't have her vetted for "qualifications" before she was "allowed" to express an opinion outside of her scripts.
As an aside, there are more well reasoned, conservative entertainers than one might think. They simply don't feel the need to use their stage to spout rhetoric. This I got from an interview with Clint Eastwood conducted by Neal Cavuto.

I give celebrities exactly the same room to speak that I give everyone else. Many, perhaps even most, prove themselves fools in short order. That's also true of the general public, but the major media will give great deference to a Hollywood star making a fool of herself, and in the same piece dismiss Earlene at the trailer park for making a fool of herself.
Whatever else you might think about Angelina Jolie, she's a staunch advocate of individual liberty and gun rights. Glenn Jacobs (AKA "Kane") is a WWE SmackDown wrestler, 6'8" and 320 pounds, who gives some of the most eloquent and reasoned speeches on libertarian principles that you've ever heard. I once saw Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on "Celebrity Jeopardy", and not only was he quiet and unassuming, he displayed a genius level of knowledge about obscure topics. For San Antonio Spurs fans, do I even need to mention David Robinson, the Annapolis grad with a 1320 SAT?
I do not automatically give credence to anyone's opinion just because of their celebrity, nor do I automatically dismiss them because of it. I judge every opinion on its own merit, whether it's offered by Bono or Bubba.
Ted makes me cringe at times, even while he makes me cheer. But I salute him for pushing all the right buttons, on those whose buttons really need pushing. His recent bit about Pamela Anderson and PETA is spot-on (not 10-year-old-daughter safe, google it yourself if you want to read it).
Evaluate the message, not the messenger.

entertainers are people just like the rest of us. Having worked for many of them, I got to see how some of them are "entertainers" in public view and are completely opposite when no one is looking and the others are just as genuine in public as they are in private. I personally enjoyed Uncle Teds company because he was the same in person as the person you see on TV. Some people I have worked with would smile and praise you to your face and then talk mad smack when no one was looking. I can't stand that. I was especially fun to watch Gov. Perry and Ted have some political convo, although they seemed to keep it brief. Ted is educated on the matters at hand, one might not like his views but his views are his own. Now if a cow like janeane garofalo opens her stupid trap and rattles off an un-educated rant, it turns my stomach. If your going to be on camera giving the world your 2 pennies.... at least try to educate yourself on the issues.
