Joe,
Thank you for the reply. The first time I saw this was a couple of weeks ago. A good friend of mine saw this last week (for her first time). I told her that I would post on this board as there are plenty of knowledgeable folks here that would know if this is true or not. I am fairly new here as well and have not seen past posted on this.
Rest assured, I will continue to ask questions.

LTUME1978,
If I offended you I did not mean to and I apologize. Its like Joe said we have seen it so many times we have it memorized. As I stated above my mother-in-law sent me an e-mail on this very thing shortly after I read it on here! I wanted to cry
Unfortunately I dont think this thing will ever die.
As stated above we are all here to learn...I know I have learned A TON on here.

Thank you for the information. My apologies to those that thought this was a dumb question. I have always been told that the only dumb questions are the ones you are afraid to ask.
Hmmm...someone lied to you.

If we didn't love you, we wouldn't be making fun. That's how a dysfunctional family works

I don't own any guns as of today.
I have transfer them to my two Beagles, George and Toby. They are both "Gun Dogs" and have passed all gun dog training. (or was that house training)
If you want to tax my dogs guns, you'll have to talk to my dogs lawyer, Helen Wait.
That means, if you want them, Go To Helen Wait.

If I had the time, I would put together a list of all the hoaxes roaming around the internet, and email that out into circulation. I have seen this one pop up in various places at least 6 times in the last year. It is actually based off of a real bill that languished in the committee about 10 years ago without ever going to vote.

It has already been done:
http://www.snopes.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Figuring these things out is really quite simple: If an e-mail describes some horrible, awful thing that you never heard of before, and has been forwarded dozens of times, look it up on Snopes.
When it comes to firearms-related legislation, you can sign up for NRA e-mail alerts here:
http://www.nra-ila.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I am confident that no pro- or anti-RKBA legislation goes under the NRA's radar.

This is so true. I forwarded a political email I received, along with a rant about the email, to my son thinking it was fact. He took about 3 minutes to return the email with a snopes link showing it was horse pucky. Messed up my whole rant.
