I'm with HankB on this as well...What I have locked up in the "safe" is not an issue to anyone after a defensive shooting situation...Remember Mr. Wilson had such an outpouring of support from Texas gunowners, he had a replacement shotgun within a few days...I think I recall someone bought him one and gave it to him personally...But that beside the point...

The investigators (hopefully) will only want to do their thing on the "gun" you hypothetically used in the "defensive shooting"...And you'll probably get that back in due course...But you won't be too bent out of shape about that, right??? Because you have other things to take care of future potential issues, right???

And we do not ever look forward to stopping someone in a situation like this, right???

We do not ever want to say very much on the phone with the 911 dispatcher other than to "please send an ambulance, someone has been shot in my home", right??? (i.e.: Joe Horn)

And we don't want to tell any investigators that you were sure glad you have been practicing your double taps, and Mozanbique drill at the gun range, right??? ;-)

I know, I know...Shut up Steve!!! :thumbs2:

If the police started asking questions like that it would remind me I have the right to remain silent

Thanks, I knew I was forgetting something :biggrinjester:
