I love mine. I've shot about 900 rounds through it with 0 failures. OK - I take that back, it sometimes fails to feed the first snap cap in a mag I have loaded with them (and it never ejects the snaps

). Most of these rounds have been commercial reloads from Collins Ammo that I bought at a gun show.

So far I like my Kimber. I've put roughly 350 rounds through it, and it's very accurate and I have yet to have any problems.

No Weaknesses? No Flaws? Nothing you would change?
I just dont like the Black/Brown/Silver Combo of their guns, looks too much like the inside of a Cadillac instead of a gun.

Well, to be honest originally I wanted the Kimber Pro CDP II, which is the aluminum-frame commander-sized pistol all tricked out with melted edges, etc.
I couldn't find one locally for what I was willing to pay, so I bought the Eclipse Pro II instead. I *LOVE* the tritium Meprolight night sights, and I am glad now that I got the all-steel version since it helps me get back on target quicker. All in all, the only thing I would change is the grips, and I have...I replaced the stock grips with Hogue wrap-around soft rubber grips with finger grooves. I put a little over 200 rounds through it using the Hogue grips last Friday, and they made a HUGE difference in comfort and absorbing recoil. The only problem I've had is my fault...I need to learn to let the trigger fully reset before squeezing off another round. Don't get me wrong...the trigger is awesome for a stock 1911 clone...it's just something I need to work on from a training perspective.
All in all, I'm still very pleased with the purchase, and it's become my favorite daily carry weapon (on the days I can carry). My pistol is all black and stainless steel, and it looks very much "all business".

Kimber makes all black guns, all greenguns and all silver guns. I have an all black Ultra Carry, all black Carry II and had an all Silver Stainless II.

here's my Kimber Stainless Compact (pre-Series II) with a some of it's friends.
This is what I've narrowed down to my favorite carrry guns...just need to fill the sub-compact hole I made for a recent trade.
I just don't think you'll find many guns more rock solid than my Stainless Compact. The tritium sights are just about played out (12 year half life on tritium), but the rest of the Kimber should even outlast my grandson... if I live long enough for him to outgrow the temptation to test his rapid fire abilities
