Uh, where does one go about getting one of those shirts, anyway?
Steinmart usually carry's 3 or 4 different one's. I have a couple from there. Banana Republic SURELY carries them. There's bound to be several stores in the Metroplex. J.C. Penny for that matter as well. ;-)

I know I saw a BUNCH of Hawaiian shirts at the Allen Outlet Mall in several different stores.
Wal-Mart carries them too. Here's one for $9.00:

And Drew, you are totally correct! No self-respecting Texas CHL holder wouldn't be without one(or more)!

I've also found them at Marshall's and Ross too. You have to get lucky and catch them when they happen to have your size though.

Gads! I just checked Sear's website. They have TONS of them!

That second on, The Pierre Cardin is really nice looking. Just right for conceal carry. ;-)

We need to block the view of these miscreant liberals pretending to be racist tea partiers by standing in front of them so that the news cameras cannot capture them on video. We also need to physically drag them away, perhaps. We cannot have the news cameras capture images of people with the following at any tea parties; swatstikas and confederate flags. Just how low can these liberals go?

It's too late for this tea party, but for the next tea party, I will find some clean cut college kids for "crowd control". I will also try to find a minority spokesperson to speak with the news crews and run around following them, not allowing them to interview anyone else.

So when you see some guy with three teeth, beer-stained camo, overalls, and a misspelled sign, be suspicious.

I also plan to get photos of them, but if you post photos online, they should be heavily watermarked with something like "PARTY CRASHING FRAUD" so that they can't just be grabbed to use against the Tea Party.

I heard what they plan on doing at the NY Tea Party to deal with these guys is to have people set up with signs that have an arrow on them and says, 'Left wing Infiltrator', and they will be on the lookout for these guys, and will stand near them with the arrow pointed at them. Especially the ones with big rasist signs. That way if the media captures them on video, they can be outed! Not sure if it will work. We shall see.

You really think the media that could crop out a rally attendee's race can't "accidentally" miss those signs?

No, I don't think that.

So, as I was in the checkout line with my new outrageous hawaiian shirt, it occured to me that the phrase "I wouldn't be caught dead wearing this" had just taken a whole new meaning. At least I'm official now!

Just got back from the Tea Party. What a great thing to attend! It was my first one, and I had a GREAT time!

Gemini spotted me and introduced himself. Nice to meet you face to face gemini! :tiphat:

I looked for other hawaiian shirt folks. Saw a few but I don't think they were from the forum. Man was that place crowded! For those that don't know it was held at QwikTrip Park. It's a minor league baseball stadium, just south of Lone Star Park....the Class 1 horse racetrack. The speakers platform was in center field at the back of the playing field. People were packed into the playing field, sitting in the seats. Roaming around the outer perimeter of the stadium section seating. That's what I did. Roamed for most of the time.

Being the first time I'd ever attended a Tea Party Rally, I didn't know what to expect. It wasn't Republicans vs. Democrats vs. Libertarians. The major focus of the rally was the American people taking back our government. Conservative fiscal spending. Conservative values and morality. And what inspired me the most, was patriotism.

I didn't see ANY anti Tea Party infiltrators there. It was very civil. Couples brought their little kids in radio flyer wagons with flags on them...people brought their dogs....young and old alike where there in droves. There was a VERY pronounced police presence there who kept a VERY low key. I stopped to talk to one Grand Prairie cop, and he was as friendly as he could be.

Lots of good speakers. There was a choir there composed of home schooled kids who sang patriotic songs. Got a lump in my throat listening to them to tell you the truth.

There were tons of vendors. Vendors were selling Tea Party related t-shirts with slogans along with buttons, bumper stickers and pins. Several vendors selling flags. :patriot: :txflag: One vendor was selling a flag I really really really wanted, but didn't have enough cash with me. :grumble it was the "Come And Take It Flag" . :txflag: Gotta get me one of those. Lots of people had them. The NRA & TSRA shared a sign up booth there, which I thought was pretty neat. And local Tea Party organizations galore. I think I counted 8 of them who had sign up booths.

It was a very inspirational and refreshing experience to attend. It restored my faith in the American citizen, who will NOT permit some temporary resident of the White House to diminish or destroy what took 234 years to build. God Bless Texas, and God Bless the U.S.A.
