From start to finish...It is FINALLY done (1911)!!! New Pics

I'm having some regrets with my SA 1911 LW Champion Operator purchase back in May. I just do not believe I'll ever carry it fluently. I know there's some heat about to head my way for this, but I'm just in love with my Kahr PM9 & Glock 26! I feel I should have bought perhaps a Kahr P9 instead.

I did pick up a Hi-Point 9mm Carbine recently and all I can say is wow - awesome fun at the range now! Can't believe I waited this long for such a device! This should have been my purchase instead - at least at this time!

That is a beautiful piece. I have a couple of Colts, MKIVs series 70 and series 80, I love the balance and trigger, however my EDC is a Glock. Silly me, right?

Thank you! A lot of thought did go into it. I got a lot of help when I was researching parts from forum members.

Have you ever shot a 1911?

I shot a few rounds in an old 1911 (and a grease gun) way back when I was in the Texas Army National Guard. I moved from Odessa where I was in an artillery unit (M110 8' Howitzers) to Victoria where I was in a tank unit (M60A3's). Of course, back then the US Army gave all their old worn out stuff to the various Nat. Guard units. So, as I recall, I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with it. The grease gun was even worse....lol.

if you get the chance again you should try a newer one out with all the "bells and whistles". They sure are nice to shoot!
