I was going to post something to the effect of the "light bulb coming on" . . . but some wiseazz would probably have to tell me that the correct term was "lamp". <sigh>
Actually, it's torch. No wait....
The spent round seems to serve several purposes such as production's quality control process, in some instances given to the state for data collection, and (what I think is an excellent observation) to identify pin strike problems. Me, it went in bin 13.

They never were called anything other than "cases" until the media and libs refered to them as "shell casings."
Come on folks it's like caling an AR-15, SKS, Mini 14 or an M1 Garand an "assault rifle," it's just wrong.

I don't think they do it at all in Texas. I've bought 3 handguns in the last 1-1/2 months and I have the fired casings for all 3.

Ahh, I think you're right. Now that I think about it a little more they may have said the other one was sent to the FBI or ATF and the reason I got to keep the other one was because Texas did not want one.

Yes, 2 for each pistol... 2 RIA's and a Kimber.
