Yeah funny that is true.
I hate the Stock Glock ergonomics, but I absolutely love the reliability and abuse they can take. That's why I trust them and carry them .... but, I like M9/Taurus PT92/99 and 1911s better as far as ergonomics.
I've owned every Glock model made I think, (except of course the .380; and haven't owned the .357 nor 45GAP yet) I HATE them, but .... my daily
choice for carry ... is a Glock... since the 1980s.
I hated glocks up till recently. I could never get into their cheap looking design. Then I went gun shopping and I had some criteria that had to be met for a carry pistol. Up till that point I either carried a s&w j frame or a naa .22 or ruger lcp. I'm not a revolver fan at all, so I wanted a larger caliber reliable semi-auto. So my criteria was .40 cal, light weight, high capacity, and had to fit my hands. It came down to the xd, pps, and the glock 23. I chose the glock and have been converted. I was planning on waiting for a gen 4 g27 but decided that could be a long wait and went with a gen 3, and it is very comfortable to carry all day in my minatuar holster so within 2 mths I have purchased two glocks the 23 and 27. I find glock talk useful but their really is not alternatives, glock.pro has a nice group of core people but not the same amount of traffic. concealed carry forum I have lost all interest after one post I made and they made an announcement about not allowing discussions promoting the use of mouse guns. I mean seriously mouse guns serve a purpose in concealed carry so I just stopped posting there since I felt if they werent going to discuss all aspects of concealed carry I couldn't take them seriously.

Aw, cmon...you can't hate something that you trust your life to. Cmon, admit it, it's like that old college buddy that always has your back and has bailed you out of jail (or got you there) more than once, but you're ashamed to tell your parents about him.

Am I The ONLY 1 ???
No you're not the only one. I love my tupperware and my s&w wheel guns - the only guns I choose to carry.
If you really want to have fun
here, just put up a post about the godly awesomeness your 9mm glock.

Oh, a stop watch and some popcorn might be good to have while you refresh the screen.

Interesting. I happened to pick up both DynaBlue's G36 and my XD45c a couple days ago, and noticed that the G36 feels better to me (smaller grip, nice balance). Of course, it's rare that I actually get the chance to feel the G36....

I agree with the interesting part since I don't really understand this ergonomics argument for the xd. I have small hands and the glock fits better and aligns perfectly when drawing for me, the xd felt heavy and just alright in my hands. Is this an issue for larger hand folks?

True, and I don't currently own a 36; I sold many many guns from my collection a couple years ago when dad was ill and I retired to pay for taking care of him (and me) etc.
Currently debating whether a 2011(double stack 1911 for any who don't know) or a 36 will be my next purchase while trying to rebuild my collection. I used to buy anything that was 1) smallest in its caliber class, 2) highest capacity in its caliber class. Since my buddy, Officer Jeff Ginn got shot; I've always in the back of my mind considered capacity important in my criteria, no matter what caliber. Many I sold, I'd never have carried, and won't replace anything but the reliable rust-proof, good carry types which I'd actually carry. I don't see a point in keeping "safe queens" any more.
-------------
But yes, I did like the 36 better ergonomically; but with only 1 hand, I'm not hoping to try timed reloads in an emergency confrontation with multiple assailants, so I'll probably go with a 2011; and still wear the 26 too, with a couple 17+3 magazines.

Yup, the double-stack in the XD is nice -- but it's expensive to empty the magazine at the range!

grip/hand size
Personally
1) the 10mm/45ACP first Glocks out turned me off
2) arthritis; when I first awaken, I can't even grip a 9mm Glock real well; so I keep a thin grip 9mm single stack by the bed.
Expense:
LOL I practically gave away 75 boxes of .45 and .40 S&W and 10mm (bought in the 1980s CHEAP) last year when ammo was in short supply because I had no guns in those calibers at that time
The guy I sold it to, re-sold it to a gun store, and you should see what my ammo sold for there. (I had gone in to look at guns and ... I thought I recognized that box ... "Did you buy this ammo from Mr.xxxxxxxx?" .... "Yes, you know him?" ......)
But you want to talk EXPENSIVE? fill up a few Calico 100 round mags with premium ammo, and let guys at the Police Range "try them just a minute"
