I've been a member almost a year after going from place to place and not finding exactly what I want.
They are a membership club and require background checks and mandatory safety orientation. They have officers and board and general meetings, offer classes, CMP qualified and lots of organized shooting matches. They have a pistol range and plenty of rifle range space. They allow FMJ but they only have a 200m maximum range. There is an opportunity to shoot 350yd certain times of the week because it is located behind the regular range. All of the maintenance is done on a volunteer basis.
It's a nice range, I'm curious why it isn't used more.

I am a member of the Metro Valley Gun Range,It's an indoor 50 yd range with about 8 stalls seperated by steel partitions.It is located in North Edinburg Tx. off 281 expressway on El Cibolo Road,about 200 yards from the Hidalgo County Jail.The annual fees are $150.00 or $12.00 per visit.I believe guest fees are $6.00.The targets are on elecric digital distance automatic cables and can be set in 5 yard increments.

The Laredo Rifle & Pistol Club is a "member only" club. We have a 100 & 200 rifle range, 25/50yd pistol bay 15 yd pistol bay & a 500yd rifle bay. Membership is 60/year. Shooters need to bring targets, target-frames/stands & safety equip. We have IDPA, Cowboy Action, Bullseye pistol, High power silhouette & Bench-rest rifle matches.

In 2003-2004, I was a member of the Corpus Christi Rifle and Pistol Club, an outdoor set-up which catered mostly to the trap and skeet crowd, but had some range space allocated to rifle and pistol as well. Club membership was around 1,000 at the time. Cheap, too-- only $125.00 per year. Had to be a club member to shoot there. Moved back to Bryan/College Station, and was chagrined by the prices for range membership at the local indoor and outdoor ranges. Champion Firearms has a very nice indoor range, and the bar-none best prices on guns within 100 miles, but I think they want around $240.00 for membership. I just pay their rate for walk-in non-members, which is pretty reasonable. Allcorn was an outdoor range that was just as expensive-- nowhere near as nice a set-up as Champions. Don't know if they are still in business. Arrowhead Range is between Bryan and Hearne. Strictly outdoor, but the folks are accommodating. Just pay as you go, no memberships. I think if they priced them reasonably, they could sell some, though. Bulk ammo purchase by clubs might be a way to say some money for members. Just an idea.

What do you all think of a non profit rifle and pistol range hiring a non u.s. citizen with no English skills and not one iota on running a line on a range? And that person is given the sole right to pick up brass left over as part of that persons pay. This person they hired has very rough people skills also using vulgar language towards you if you pick up his so called brass I am so fed up with this situation. It just isnt right.

wouldn't they have a Board of Directors?
