Probably the same as if you bought the used gun in a gun shop (or here) or bought stolen property from a thrift store.

I don't know, but I would hope that if I could prove that I had purchased it from some store or a person that I would not face charges for the possession. However, if one could not prove that they had purchased it somewhere then they might be in some trouble.
