I can appreciate the variability of man, and do understand the many potentials available in given scenarios. I just do not have "maybe" as a usual option in my everyday life. In my function, those I serve, both above me and below, need an absolute answer. It is important that I can make a quick decision and that 999 out of 1000 times the decision will be the best one. On the occasions when I am wrong, the buck does stop with me. I then take my solace in the thought that only GOD can be continuously perfect.Abraham wrote:"I hate maybes!"
Inflexibility can sometimes be the best response, but it's not always appropriate in all things...
Sorry Dave, but like those who say "it depends" when and if they'll become voluntarily involved in certain situations, my response to your poll rather falls into the "it depends" category - not the concrete response you prefer, as it falls into the gray area of maybe...
The world isn't black or white - yes or no, etc. Of course, things would be much simpler if it was.
And for what it's worth, I too used to be very rigid in my response to almost everything, but I've finally come around to understanding there are gray areas, dagnabit!
How much easier is this poll? Yes or no, and I accept you whichever way you choose, and more than that, I appreciate your effort to choose!
Thank you for your thoughts!
