For those of us who usually drive one car, consider how well you know what that car can do, your awareness of how much room you need to park, where the controls are located, etc. Now think back to when you rented a different car on vacation, and how it accelerates/brakes differently, and maybe you had to search for the headlight or windshield wiper controls the first time you needed them. You knew the basics of how to operate that rental car, but you probably weren't as proficient as with your own car.
My mom always said i shouldnt drive a standard transmission car becuase i would have problems switching between auto and manual.i drive my standard truck 95% of the time and my auto truck and my standard motorcycle. I have no problems switching between the 3.this is coming from a person who can barely drive auto without getting ran over.

I have a medium-sized handgun that I carry. If I had the money, I would by a small-sized handgun and carry one of the two depending on my attire.

I often suffer the same dilemma. Just be very familiar with all your guns and I don't think it will be a problem. I am always aware of what I am carrying.

Weight does change drastically between a 3" and a hicap 5" though so that might matter on a precision quick shot. Doubtful that will ever happen though. I agree with the others on staying with one style though.
You are my best friend. I wish I only had 1911's. I envy you. :cheers2:

To each their own. Just keep it concealed and stay safe.
I have pretty much stuck with a Para P12 .45acp. Commander size barrel and short double stack grip seems to be perfect.
