I mailed my packet on March 1, the same day I had my electronic prints taken. I got acknowledgment of receipt on the CHL website today, March 27. Issuance of the license is pending completion of the background check.

sent mine in 2 weeks ago. no update online. I guess they have the online information and actual data entry on seperate systems. It would help stream line the update issues if they would link the information together.....but then again....it is governmant....wait and see.

Citizenship : No documentation required
Passport photo holder : Received

Proof of Classroom training : Received
Proof of Proficiency training : Received
Fee : Received
Background Check : Under review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review

Four weeks out and no online status update - did the online app., FAST prints, and mailed all checklist materials March 1.

I'm hoping it's actually in process and the online status is just really lagging - will probably call in another week if nothing changes...

Web still shows waiting on documents. Sent pack returns receipt and signature, shows it was received and signed for on the 9th.

Web site updated sometime this morning. just waiting on background check. The received the last of my paperwork on 3-9-11. it's nice to see some change there. from reading other posts, i wonder if they only update these on the weekends.

I took my CHL there. Solo class, not by choice, just worked out that way.

Update 4/4, background check complete; CHL:manufacturing pending. Sounds like it should be in my mailbox in the next 1-2 weeks.

hmmm I mailed mine 2 days before you did and my bg/prints still show "under review". I hate to be impatient, but... I'm getting impatient :)

Same thing here.

Took my class on 2/19.
Check cleared the bank on 3/7.
Status: background check and fingerprints under review as of 4/4.
Shouldn't be too much longer now....right???

I'm curious about how long it will take for my background to clear since i've lived in 3 different counties in the last 5 years. I read somewhere that each county has to pass you off before you're cleared, I just don't know if it's electronic or snail mailed. I'd be curious about how much longer it might take for those of us that have lived extra places than the more stationary folks.

Woooohooooooooo woke up this morning to see that my fingerprints have been approved!!! Now im just waiting on the BG check! I dont expect them to take much longer on the BG check because I have absolutely nothing on there for them to review. We shall see, I remember who we are dealing with

I'm curious how long mine will take as well. Ive lived in 4 states, but I have a certain clearance for a certain agency that took 13 months to clear, but they did face to face interviews with just about anyone that knew me or lived near me. Perhaps that may speed it up if they're even aware, maybe not. Another thing im curious about... My birthday is in a week. I mailed off on 03/16, still no update, so I know I'll get it after my bday, but will I get the extra year on my plastic, or will it be dated from when the application was sent in or some other date in the process? Time will tell i suppose. Of the 6 people that took the same class with me, I'm the only one who has sent anything in, so i'm watching and waiting alone.

Update - just short of five weeks, the online status has updated!!

Just waiting on background check.
