What do they do in Texas if you get called for Jury Duty, but you can't make a jury because of your answers in Voi Dire? Is Jury Duty for a specific length of time, or do you have to actually serve on a jury to fulfill your obligation? I've been in Texas 5 years now, and I haven't been called up yet.
When you are called to "serve", you show up. That's it. You are either picked to serve on a panel or sent home.
If you are sent home, you are credited with serving.
It depends how busy the courts are when you are called. They can kick you off one jury or if you don't get picked they can send you to another courtroom.

I was in court one day for a civil trial regarding a motorcycle crash. One of the jurors told the judge that he couldn't be fair because he thought motorcycle riding was too dangerous and anyone who rode a motorcycle and got injured deserved it. [I don't know if he believed that, but I thought he just didn't want jury duty and wanted to go home.] Apparently the judge thought the same thing and told him to report to another court.
