Not really....... It isn't until you buy the second safe that you begin to realize that you might have an issue. :smilelol5:
Wait a minute... are you saying a second safe indicates a problem. I am glad my wife does not read this forum.

Yes, it indicates a problem. The problem was you didn't buy a big enough safe the first time. :biggrinjester:

I am kinda thinking this one might get close for the collection I would like to have.

I relate to this thread. If I had it to do over, I would have built a gun vault into this house. It is easier than finding room for more than one safes.

I have built record vaults in school and commercial buildings my company built in the past. I have also built gun rooms/vaults into residences for friends. Calls for a 12 concrete block wall filled with concrete and a lightweight concrete ceiling over metal roof decking and firesafe lining. Most of the safe builders offer a door in a metal frame to install. The most interesting one was the last one--It used the 90 year old door from a bank vault. The bank was being replaced and the vault was to be torn down. The owner purchased it from the demo contractor for $200 and spent 500 having it rebuilt with new locking "stuff". It weighed over 3200 pounds in the frame and was 42" wide. But it is now in a secure gun vault.

Just tell the wife you are investing for the grand kids when purchasing more guns. Doesn't really work for me, but you may get more mileage out of it.

The landlord's already given me permission to install a lock on my closet door.

:iagree: After filling 2 safes, I finally built (or rebuilt from a closet) a safe room that stores all of my guns, valuables and us in the event of an emergency. Its 12'x12'. If I fill it up, I think I might be in for a divorce. Hmmm

Oh I got it bad. Bought my second last week, and I'm looking for another. Something about "one of each caliber" is floating around my head. My wife will kill me.

Plus various special and magnum loads. Not sure if I covered all of the bases there, since I am definitely not an expert, but it does seem as though your wife will have every right to kill you.

No Self Control is your problem.

I bought on in 1998 and haven't modified nor bought accessories nor another 1911. I carry it every day. :evil2:
