Obviously as idiotic as Mr. Krugman's assumptions are, he has enough intelligence to realize that comments would probably run approximately 20-1 in favor of lynching him or some other unpleasant action.

Senile dementia? I think that he is playing up to the Obama Administration in his columns, looking for a soft government job from them. And, I have used his text on International Economics in my classes. It was a good book. Of course, he has a co-author so the book may be the work of the co-author and his name on it more for marketing purposes.
