...easily, if the gun's on the hip or even slightly behind it...with either hand...I would reverse the mag, though...

I made a couple of holsters like this for my K40 last year, and reaching the second mag is much easier than you might think. Unless you have some kind of limiting factor, like a bad shoulder, reaching the mag with your weak hand is easy. The added size and weight is not noticable, at least with a single stack, 7-round mag. It might be more noticable with a heavier mag.

My first thought also. Especially where I carry mine. It would take entirely to much effort to reach around my back, or front to the 4:15 position on my right side(with my left hand), which is where the mag would be. I suppose if you carried with the pistol at 3 placing the mag at 2:30 ish, it might be ok. But then I'd have to retrain all that muscle memory...RoyGBiv wrote:

Does the tight molding around the trigger present any risk when reholstering?

This photo was taken before I spot heated the trigger guard to relax the form a little bit. I formed my holster the same way, and have holstered/unholstered many hundreds of times...so far no problems.

That setup looks good for states where you can carry an unloaded gun. Wear it at 12 o clock with an empty gun and a full mag. Draw both at the same time and speedload on the draw.

I started thinking about Eileen again today and thought of a way to balance her out. How about another one for the left side?
