But can you then be arrested for verbally assaulting a officer of the law? That is, since only law enforcement will have the means to see your message, can they use that against you? I mean, it IS NYC that we are talking about. How dare any mere peasants from fly-over country conspire against King Bloomberg! Off with their heads!

Many of these countermeasures sound very complicated and prone to failure. I think a more simple and effective solution could follow the example of countermeasures that began in April 1775 against similar men enforcing gun control laws.

Nah, implanted RFID chip is the way to go. Can read the data without having to see the barcode. Think vehicles going through the EZ-Pass lane on a tollway.

I just heard about the terahertz (THz) technology NYC is planning to start using in the next 6 months (saw it on Face the Nation spoken some NYPD big-cheese). Just a matter of time until there will be units set up on the streets or at points of entry to public transit (think subway or bus station) and everyone gets a virtual pat down.

That may get entertaining unless they've figured out a way to discriminate weapons carried by LEO's from those carried by others.

An IFF beacon of some type perhaps??
