Next year he'll be on telling us about his 4th or 5th 1911. Compact CDP today, Ultra CDP in a few months, then a full size "for range use"....you all know the drill.

Good job! No go shoot the snot out of it, and change the springs at 500 rounds.

i prefer smith wesson 1911's but some people think they are overpriced..

I'd rather eat NYC salsa than balut but I trust my Rock Island 1911s more than the Kimbers I shot. :lol:

I own a Colt series 70 Mark IV in stainless. It's a good gun, still has some FTF's every now and then. The weapon is accurate as hell though with standard GI sights.

I've purchased an STI Shadow (used) had all kinds of issues with it failing to battery, and so I traded it in for a Les Baer Stinger (which I'm still waiting for).

The rule of thumb for 1911's...


Accurate
Cheap
Dependable

Pick 2, the other is going to be what you give up.
