I do the same thing!!! Usually I will just say thank you and go on about my business--BUT-there have been those occasions(not with guns, but other things) when I had to "school" them on the facts! That has happened when there was just a little bit too much attitude(!) and they just pushed the wrong button! Problem is, as I have gotten older--that seems to be happening more! So after a lazy morning, and I even got up earlier than she did and baked biscuits, off we went to the gun show any way. I was suitably proud as she wheeled and dealed and got a good price for her PPKS, and then as she comparison shopped until selecting the best deal on the new P238 she wanted.

At my insistence, (we) purchased a pair of spare magazines with extensions, so that her fingers will be more comfortable, and a box of Hornady defense ammo. When we got home we started checking everything out and I found that the extra magazines would not feed reliably, so I spent the better part of an hour fine tuning the feed lips. There was a marked difference between the stock magazine feed lips and the new ones, and it took several tries, measuring carefully each time, before I was satisfied with the results.

She says we are going to the range tomorrow to try it out.

I didn't sell my .32NAA, so I didn't buy anything.

Disclaimer: as I stated already, if a woman chooses a .380 and feels comfortable shooting it, wonderful. I'm just not a fan of gun shops/husbands pushing women towards .380s as a first handgun experience.

So how was the show? Anything interesting, or same-old-same-old? Thinking of going on Sunday afternoon.

P-230 was the best compromise we could come up with. Not that small but light as a feather (blue not stainless, blue is 16oz. stainless is 23oz.). Bought it with the gun purse in mind. I'm not a .380 fan but it's better than an empty hand and I knew if it was too heavy she wouldn't carry it.

Mostly same-old. It was funny in that, after she bought the p238, we couldn't find the magazine dealer we first saw the extra magazines at.

Thanks, I decided to skip it today, as I'm not really fixated on anything I need to buy just now The magazine guy associated with S.A.W. had them at the last show in Lewisville, so you might call them if you're still looking. Not cheap, but that's kind of the deal with Sig stuff. I bought a couple for my BUG.

I've been out spending all of my husband's $ on fabric for several days

so, some some silly man sold an old lady a gun she can't shoot for home defense??? my first response was "what was her man thinking?" but then I thought "she's been spending $ for more years than I've been alive and she let herself get roped into this? It's her fault if her hand hurts in the morning"

I like my LCP, I can work the slide, I can shoot it and I don't have a problem with the snap...and the guy at the shop with the Karh didn't speak to me.
