My thoughts exactly. My CW9 has been flawless and eats everything. I pack it up n a Milt Sparks VMII and it's the best combo I've got put together yet............Have you sent it in yet?

I loved the size and the way the PM-9 shot, but the brand new one I had was totally unreliable and after the factory took it to service it for these known chronic issues, and it was still unreliable I was done with it. I agree with everything you said completely, except for being done with it.

I buy Kahr because they are innovative, well made firearms. I know before I lay my money down that i will have problems with some. But I also know that Kahr will eventually solve all the problems and I will have a reliable handgun.

I have other handguns, so it was not necessary to rely on either the PM9 or the P45. I must admit that Dottie didn't appreciate it when I said I was perfectly willing to stash the P45 in my safe for a couple of years until they learned how to work on them.

They did everything possible when they shipped me the new, upgraded P45, including firing 200 rounds at the factory before releasing it.

The only malfunction remaining is the last case jamming into the mag.

That occurred only four times in 200 rounds I fired. However, since it occurs only on the last round, that presented itself only about 33 times. Therefore, I really experienced 4 failures out of 33.

I own a Kahr PM-9. It's a nice carry gun and works very well. My only complaint is the price. They are not worth the amount they sell for, but Kahr appears to sell plenty of them.

I tested several models recently and I thought they seemed a little rough. For the same cost I thought that there were better options. Just MHO though.

As I stated in my previous post and as has been proven somewhat here, if you get a good one you have a real good one. However, if you get a bad one, it's likely to make several trips to the factory and even then be swapped for a new one.
Personally, I will not own another one as I don't feel I could trust my nor my families life on one. You know, Murphy's Law.

I was interested in a Khar, but being that the owner is Sun Myung Moon's son, it was just a bit too risky for me to support such a company.

Same here . . . with all the problems I had with my P9, and Kahr's inability to fix the pistol despite repeated tries, I just don't see myself trusting another Kahr pistol . . . somehow, in the back of my mind, there would always be the question "When is THIS one going to malfunction?"

Yeah, I know ANYTHING can malfunction - Murphy's Law and all - but personal experience trumps other people's testimonials, and once I have a pistol with seemingly unfixable problems, I'm going to avoid that brand.

Now I don't know all that much about all guns, but 4 failures out of 33? Is
this acceptable?
I couldn't feel comfortable carrying a gun that failed 1 time in 33. I duno

Unacceptable for my carry.

The new gun still has one problem that keeps me from carrying it.

OK so some Kahrs work well, but judging by the posts, a fair percentage don't . . . now, isn't it funny how not a single "bad" one was tested in ANY of the gun rags? NOT ONE?!

There has been a lot of feedback on both sides of this question. Does anyone have any suggestions for alternatives. I have very small hands so Glocks don't fit me very well. The narrower Kahrs feel really good in my hands.

There are a number of options. 1911 sub compacts, XD sub compacts, Kel Tec has a new 9mm out.
With what you would pay for a Kahr, you could get a nice subcompact in a more reliable platform. IMHO only.
