1911's are an addiction. There is no 'cure', only another fix.
My stepson was at the house one day and I was showing him my first one. He's a 9mm guy. Has an FN and a SIG. He'd heard all the talk about what an antiquated design it it, low capacity, blah, blah, blah. I gave him a rundown on the 1911 MOA, packed it in a gun rug, handed him a box of shells, and told him to try it next time he was at the range (we had a birthday party to go to instead of our normal 'range day').
He calls me from the range all ecstatic. How he fired 50 rounds and basically made one big hole. He's hooked now and saving his nickles and dimes for a 1911.
