45ACP - XD vs. Glock 21, Your Thoughts

This^^^^. I had a glock 36 but just couldn't get used to the grip angle. XDs just point perfectly for me.

Agree. The issue of the slide width on the .45 caliber Glocks is as much a matter of personal aesthetics as it is a matter of CCW practicality. As anyone who has carried a large framed pistol for CCW can attest, you can conceal almost anything with the right clothing choices. But the Glock grip angle continues to be a problem for me. I just can't get around it. Also, I have somewhat fleshy hands, and the "beavertail" on Glocks just isn't enough to prevent slide-bite sometimes. I realize that you can modify the grip frame, or add an "extender" to prevent that, but I would like my gun to not do that to my right out of the box. The M&P's beavertail is long enough to prevent it entirely. And, although the XDm beavertail is shorter like the Glock's is, the XDm grip angle is such that it doesn't force my hand up into the path of the rearward traveling slide. My hands are on a diet (along with the rest of me), so maybe this won't be an issue down the road; but right now, I spend enough attention on keeping from getting bitten when shooting a Glock that it detracts from the overall shooting experience for me.

Reading things like this is making me this of xdm 45 compact. The glock 45s are all a lil think for me to carry
