Alright, now don't get that started again!

Friend of mine from Australia killed the one pictured. Its a monster even for that part of the world.

We have taken Hogs over 350 lbs. from my father in laws property, but most we encounter are closer to 200 lbs.

They are incredibly destructive creatures.

Can't remember exactly who we have to "thank" for them (the Spaniards maybe).

Anyway, if Hogs and Fireants would just go back where they came from, it would be alright with me.

They are kinda fun to bowhunt though (hogs that is). No real challenge sneaking up on fireants.

Hey Longtooth my boss got a .470NITRO EXPRESS to hunt cape buffalo in africa next year, wonder what that would do to a feral hog. Do we want to try!Could be a very interesting experiment.

Most prefer the 22.250 or 220 swift and hit them in the neck or below the ear even at 250--300 yds. And thats using big riflescopes .

Id be happy to pick up an AR for this hunt, but i put down my rifle about 15 yrs ago in favor of a bow.

Its really exciting to be close enough to the big hogs when theyre huffin and puffin just yards from you at night :)

I just bought an AR for my son's 8th birthday. The 10/22 is a little heavy for him, so he has to use a rest to hold it on target. He shoots just fine with a handgun.

I brought him to the gun shop the other day to try out an M4gery, and he holds it as steady as he does a handgun.

So he's gonna have an interesting box to open at his birthday party in May. I can't wait to see some of the faces when he opens the box with the "evil black rifle" inside.

I'll try to keep an eye on this event. I may just borrow his rifle and tag along. Or could I bring an AK chambered in 7.62 NATO?

I have decided to postpone the hunt until may atleast--I am having some dirt work done at my range and I am building some new obstacles for my O-Course, I also am planning on building a tower to for observation and sniper practice. When it is done, I am going to invite some folks for an open house training--and maybe a little ji-hog hunting!!
